Welcome to East Lewis County

Located in Southwest Washington State, East Lewis County is centrally located between Seattle and Portland. Lewis County is known as the “Mother of all Counties” and at one point, the Cowlitz River was its Southern border and Sitka, Alaska its Northern border.

Nowadays the County is quite a bit smaller, but it’s Eastern side still contains something for everyone. With lush forest to explore , beautiful lakes and rivers to swim, boat and fish and mountains to climb. East Lewis county is an outdoors-man’s paradise.

For the indoor types, the area has a rich and interesting culture. Morton, Mineral and Packwood have museums detailing the area history. There are many art and gift shops. Throughout the year, there are plays, concerts, farmer’s markets and many other activities to see and do.

If you like food, the area has several excellent restaurants and cafes to enjoy. Lodging is available at our many Campgrounds and RV parks as well as our award winning Bed & Breakfast, hotels and motels. With Mt. Rainer to the North and Volcano Country to the South, Eastern Lewis County is an excellent year round destination and Vacation Spot.
