Rhonda Cornwell is the co-owner of The Shaker Craftsman, a business based in Randle, Washington. Together with her husband, Bill Cornwell, Rhonda has devoted nearly four decades to building historic furniture. Her love for history is evident in the extensive research she conducts on old historic buildings. These structures, once taken down, are transformed into historic pieces of furniture, each accompanied by its unique backstory. Through their craftsmanship and partnership, Rhonda and Bill have played a significant role in preserving traditional furniture-making techniques. Rhonda is deeply passionate about animal rescue, with a particular focus on neonatal care. She possesses extensive experience in caring for both domestic and wildlife babies, having raised over 500 bottle-fed infants who lost their mothers. Her dedication to the welfare of vulnerable animals highlights her compassion and expertise in this specialized area.

Beyond her animal rescue efforts, Rhonda enjoys grant writing and working collaboratively with others. As a former member of the Yakima Fire Department, she has received numerous awards for her achievements, including securing more than $750,000 in grants. These accomplishments underscore her commitment and skill in supporting important causes through effective resource development.

Outside of her professional and volunteer work, Rhonda enjoys cooking and camping. She has been invited to participate in various world competitions, especially those focused on chilli. Rhonda is also recognized for her continual dedication to animal welfare, consistently finding new homes for puppies and kittens in need.
